Challenge for a Healthier Sea

Enhancing Nutrient Removal and Clean Shipping in the Cities of the Baltic Sea Region, 9 February 2010, Helsinki

The Baltic Sea Challenge organised together with John Nurminen Foundation on 9.2.2010 an international seminar for cities, water companies, ports and international financiers of the Baltic Sea region.

The event held in the City Hall of Helsinki presented investments made on sewage treatment and sustainable ports in several countries.  There was also a possibility for matchmaking between the local actors and the international financiers to start planning new investment projects.

There were altogether c. 150 participants from Belarus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine.
