Baltic Sea Forum working session at 13.30-15.15, Åbo Akademi University

Is the Baltic Sea worth our efforts to stop eutrophication or are our actions just a waste of money? Can science offer a working prescription for a sick sea? How can we overcome the challenge of getting our message through? Join us for a multi-sectoral dialogue on the Baltic Sea environmental problems with experts representing fields of ecology, economy, communication and law!

2. SAVE THE SEA - COMMUNICATION AS A TOOL FOR WATER PROTECTION

Baltic Sea Forum side event at 16.00-19.30, Åbo Akademi University and the Baltic Sea House

What are people's attitudes towards the Baltic Sea? Who do they think is responsible for saving our common sea – local municipalities, EU, the citizens? And what are the keys of success in water protection work according to civil servants? Come and discuss the fresh results of an opinion survey conducted in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. With the survey results as a starting point, best practices and tools are developed and shared.
